Bernice “Bea” Patterson Spires, 81, of Callahan entered into eternal peace on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018.
Her memorial service was held at Callahan Funeral Home in Callahan Wednesday, Aug. 8th from 6-8 p.m.
Bea was born in McRae, Ga. to Lester and Mary Lois Patterson on Aug. 21, 1936. She worked as a manager for Armchair Theatre in Callahan for many years and she enjoyed working in the yard, riding on the golf cart and talking on the phone with her family.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Lois (Callahan); three brothers, Thomas (McRae), Bobby (Callahan) and Tommy (Warrington, Ga.) Patterson and son Tim Spires (Callahan).
Bea is survived by her sister, Geraldine Selph of McRae; brother, William (Linda) Patterson of Yulee; sister, Mamie Gardner of Hilliard; sister, Patsy Fischer of Hilliard; brother, Charlie (Susie) Patterson of Callahan; daughter, Brenda (John) Everett of Yulee; son, Keith (Billie Jo) Spires of Callahan; son, Ricky (Becky) Spires; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
