Jeffery Wayne Evans, 49, of Callahan passed away Friday, Oct. 12, 2018.
He was born Dec. 3, 1968 in Jacksonville, Fla. He was a loving husband and an astounding father and, furthermore, an amazing son, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. He worked hard to provide for this family and he loved them all with all his heart. He was a volunteer firefighter, assistant chief, at Station 8 in Callahan on Lem Turner Road. He loved fishing, laughing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Linda A. Evans. He is also survived by their sons, Nathan Evans, James Evans and Adam Evans; their daughter, Sarah (Austin) Raulerson and grand puppy, Princess Leaia; his mother, Carolyn (Roger) Thompson; sisters, Tammy Vinson, Lisa (Andy) Taylor, Sherry (Paul-Mark) Absher, Amanda (Allan) Smith-Daniel and Tabitha Evans; his father, Everett Evans, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Noble (Sonny) Smith; his mother, Linda K. Evans and his brother, Wally Smith.
The viewing will be Friday, Oct. 19 from 2-3 p.m. with a memorial service to start at 3 at First Baptist Church of Callahan, and a funeral procession to the gravesite at Jones Cemetery.
